What are banner ads ?   Banner ads are, as they sound, advertisements. They are generally wide and thin, (banner shaped), hence the name "Banner Ads". There is one at the top of this page now, the advert is ours. Some websites exchange banners so it becomes an advertisement for somebody else's page or product and they in turn reciprocate and display one for yours. We do not recommend exchange ads on the basis that if someone visits your site then why give them the opportunity to leave at the click of a mouse? Banner ads can sometimes be best used to draw attention to another part of your site or a product but we would like to be totally honest and say that most people like us, just find them really annoying.
